romans 3:23

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

i use this verse all the time. i feel like it is a super important verse for people to hear and to learn and to grasp. we are all sinners. we all fall short. but have you read this verse in the context of romans 3? i’m sure you have. but do it again. read romans 3:9-26 and be blown away. verse 23 isn’t a gloomy verse. it is in the midst of one of the most hopeful passages in the entire bible.
